Family allowances (FA)

Benefits paid to parents to partially offset the cost of raising children. Funding is entirely borne by the employer. The rate varies by canton: Geneva 2.45%, Vaud 2.06%, Valais 2.3%. Allowances are a minimum of CHF 200/child/month (CHF 250 for children in education, CHF 300 in Geneva).
